Ruiz’s father and manager – Andy Ruiz Sr. – recently demanded an even 50-50 split of the money. He complained that Wilder had only offered his son a 70-30 split, which Ruiz and his handlers believe is far too low.
Ruiz Sr. believes his son, based on being a former unified world champion, is entitled to at least 50% of the split.
Wilder is currently in discussions for a December showdown in Saudi Arabia with British superstar Anthony Joshua.
However, Wilder would like to have an interim-fight with Ruiz a few months earlier.

Besides a 50-50 split, Wilder complains that Ruiz is also requested a rematch clause.
Both Wilder and Ruiz are under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.
“This is definitely not a 50-50 fight. He’s talking about a rematch clause. Either he’s drunk or he’s on drugs – maybe both. If this deal falls through, you’ll never see him again in the boxing scene, especially not on PBC,” Wilder said to 78SPORTSTV.
Wilder made allegations that Ruiz’s parents pulled him out of school to become a professional boxer in order to earn money for the family.
“Andy Ruiz only has a fourth-grade education. This is a thing that came across my ears, [Ruiz’s parents] pulled him out and just wanted him to box. If it’s true, shame on the parents. [They were] using him as a boxing sex slave, 33-year-old body with a fourth-grade education mind,” Wilder said.
Widler has been out of the ring since last October’s first round destruction of Robert Helenius at Barclays CEnter in Brooklyn, New York.
