In a break from the WMKF Championships in Sicily Giacomo Spartaco Bertoletti reveals how to Rei in Ju-jitsu or Jujutsu. It’s a beautiful sunny morning by the pool. We even had a local dog get in the frame for notoriety.

Ju Jutsu, the Art of the Samurai, the mythical Japanese warriors is a martial art whose name derives from “Jū” or “Jiu” which translated means flexible, yielding, and “jutsu” art, technique, practice, sometimes it was also called Taijutsu (body arts) or Yawara (Kun ‘ yomi of jū).
The jūjutsu was taught to the Bushi (warriors), who after learning its secrets used it to defend themselves in hand-to-hand clashes with enemies.
Today is a way to reach an end: the Human Being.
Its essence …. perceive the strength of the rival and then use it against him and win it with the least energy.
Spartaco began “martial” practice at 12 years with the Greco-Roman fight and the fencing foil. He began Shokukai karate, which evolved into Sankudo and Sankukai with Maestro Jean Michael Baroche, one of the first black belts of Maestro Yoshinao Nanbu in 1960. He practices judo and kendo, but above all Japanese ju jitsu of Japanese extraction Yoshin Ryu.
He also practices Shotokan in the school of M ° Hiroshi Shirai [yudanshakai] and Masaru Miura.
In 1976, with the foundation and presidency of the WJJF [World Ju Jitsu Federation] with Soke Robert Clark, iSoke Saburo Minaki begins his long journeys in Japan and enters the Hontai school of Saburo Masanori Minaki, 17th Soke Saburo Minaki Patriarch, thanks to a presentation by Sō Shihan Eiji Ogasahara where he will remain until the death of Soke Minaki [1986].
He received the 7th dan Kyoshi in 1984 from M ° Saburo Minaki, where he also secretly trained Soke Fumon Tanaka [Nippon Koden Kobudo].
In 1997 he was granted the eighth dan by Soke / Sosai Kunio Tatsuno of the Sheshinkai in Osaka.
In 2004 he was granted 9th dan by the President of JJIF, Paul Hoglund.
His career culminated in 2005 with the delivery, on April 25 in Venice, of the title of 5th Shike of the KODEN ENSHIN RYU Honmon School ENSHIN RYU-BUJUTSU, honorific, dynastic title that few Westerners were able to obtain.

E’ un’ arte marziale il cui nome deriva da “Jū” o “Jiu” che tradotto significa flessibile, cedevole, e “jutsu” arte, tecnica, pratica, talvolta veniva chiamato anche Taijutsu (arti del corpo) oppure Yawara (Kun’yomi di jū).
Il jūjutsu era insegnato ai Bushi (guerrieri), che dopo averne appreso i segreti lo utilizzavano per difendersi negli scontri corpo a corpo con i nemici.
Oggi è una via per giungere ad un fine: l’ Essere Umano.

Spartcao inizia la pratica “marziale” a 12 anni con la lotta greco-romana e la scherma fioretto.
