Nearly two years after squaring off against Mike Tyson in a well-received and entertaining exhibition boxing match, Roy Jones Jr. will be returning to the ring to take on IFBB bodybuilding professional Robert Wilmote, also known as NDO (No Days Off) Champ.
The bout will take place on Jan. 28 in Miami, Celebrity Boxing announced Tuesday. The exhibition will reportedly unfold across five one-minute rounds. By the time Jones fights, he will be 54 years of age.
The Hall of Fame fighter Jones (66-9, 47 KOs) was one of the pound-for-pound greats of his generation, winning championships across the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight divisions.
The Florida native Jones last fought as a professional in 2018 and returned in 2020 to take on Tyson in an eight-round exhibition.
Wilmote is a 38-year-old survivor of the Liberian civil war who has competed in major bodybuilding contests throughout the years. He was the runner-up in the 2019 Arnold Classic in the super heavyweight division.
Wilmote has made a name for himself on social media by marketing his massive frame in comedic videos.
“Sometimes you gotta teach the legend a lesson,” said Wilmote.
