Former three-time amateur world champion Ramazan Gitinov made his eagerly-anticipated Brave CF debut at Brave CF 71, and got his career with the Bahraini promotion off to a flying start with a quickfire technical submission victory.
After a brief feeling-out process, Gitinov snatched up the neck of Errachidy and dropped to the canvas as he applied enough pressure to choke his man unconscious.
The whole bout lasted just one minute, 55 seconds as Gitinov showed a glimpse of his immense potential with a slick submission finish.
Gitinov has been promoted as the greatest amateur fighter in MMA history. In a stellar amateur career, the Russian-born fighter, who competes under the flag of Bahrain, captured three IMMAF world championships and two IMMAF European championships as he amassed an amateur record of 30-2.
He turned pro earlier this year at a Belarusian Fight Championship event and picked up a 34-second TKO victory to get his professional career off to a flying start. He then signed for Brave CF and went 2-0 with his submission finish at Brave CF 71.
The victory takes Gitinov’s pro record to 2-0, with two first-round finishes already to his name. Overall, the 26-year-old is riding a 31-fight win streak, and will have his sights set on Brave CF lightweight gold as he makes his way up the promotion’s 155-pound ladder.
And fans might not have to wait too long before Gitinov’s next appearance. After barely receiving a scratch from his victory in Riffa, he said he’d like to get back into the Brave CF cage “as soon as possible” as he looks to build momentum in the promotion’s lightweight division.
