The scores were 95-95, 99-92 and 97-93 for Marshal.
Marshall was coming off a decision loss to Claressa Shields in their undisputed middleweight fight from October of last year.
It was a scrappy start with Crews-Dezurn taking the fight to Marshall in the first. Marshall was mostly jabbing. She landed a few good shots that Crews-Dezurn took well. At the start of the second, both were connecting and the action was close in the round.
Crews-Dezurn got clipped at the start of the third, but came back with a series of punches. Marshall was landing the better punches during exchanges. The same played out in the fourth, with Marshall landing the heavier punches. The fifth was a game round by both, but Marshall was landing the cleaner and heavier shots.
Crews-Dezurn was connecting well in the sixth and was letting go with flurries. They were trading in the seventh, with Crews-Dezurn landing the better punches. After a strong ninth for Crews-Dezurn, it was Marshall who came back strong with heavy punches in the ninth round.
In the tenth and final round, it was close with a lot of grappling by both. It was close, with Marshall landing the better shots and Crews-Dezurn being scrappy on the inside.
