Spencer was trading with him to end the round. In the second, Spencer went back to boxing – but Ramos was being aggressive and coming forward. The fast hands of Spencer were connecting. Ramos was digging to the body. They were trading quick combinations, but Ramos was landing the bigger shots.
In the third, Ramos was outworking and outlanding Spencer. Rather than create distance, Spencer continued to fight on the inside. During the fourth, Ramos continued to come forward and pound away with hard punches. Spencer landed a big hook and Ramos walked right through it. In the fifth, Ramos was peppering Spencer with punches. Spencer wasn’t doing much in return.
The sixth was a one-sided round in favor of Ramos, who was doing most of the work and landing most of the punches. In the seventh, Spencer was urging Ramos to fight him, and Ramos obliged by outworking him with big shots. And eventually Spencer’s corner threw in the towel to stop the fight.
