PFL’s 2023 World Championships set for Washington DC as trio bid to become back-to-back PFL champions – Fighters Only

The 2023 PFL World Championships are set to take place in the US capital, Washington DC, with three of the finalists targeting back-to-back PFL championship glory.

The 2023 season finale will take place on Friday, November 24 at The Anthem in Washington DC, where the six 2023 PFL season finals will take place to crown the promotion’s 2023 world champions.

The event’s title fights were confirmed across the recently-held PFL Playoffs events, with 12 athletes left standing after a grueling season that saw them fight through two regular season fights, then a semi-final eliminator to reach the season finale. The winners on November 24 will be crowned 2023 PFL World Champion for their respective divisions, and will pick up a check for one million dollars.

The event will see three PFL champions back to capture championship gold for the second time in two years, with 2022 lightweight champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier and welterweight champion Sadibou Sy looking to become back-to-back champions in their respective weight classes, while 2022 women’s lightweight champion Larissa Pacheco bids to claim back-to-back titles in different weight divisions as she goes for gold in the women’s featherweight final.

“We are thrilled to announce the 2023 PFL World Championship is coming to the nation’s capital, at The Anthem in Washington DC to host the richest night in MMA on Friday, November 24,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.

“The PFL World Championship presented by our great partners at CELSIUS will showcase the greatest athletes in the world and bring the best MMA action to more than 650 million fans around the world.”
