Khalidov and Soldic set for champion versus champion clash on December 18 – Fighters Only

The final KSW event of 2021 serves up a title battle for the ages, as two of the Polish promotion’s best ever champions go toe to toe for middleweight gold in Gliwice at KSW 65 on December 18.

Middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov is the biggest legend in the history of KSW. His long run as middleweight king saw him become one of the most highly-rated fighters to ply their trade outside of the major American promotions and, despite being linked with the UFC in the past, Khalidov has remained loyal to the promotion that made him a superstar in his native Poland.

After a brief retirement, Khalidov returned to the cage and spectacularly knocked out England’s Scott Askham to recapture the middleweight title and improve his record to 35-7-2.

Now he’s set to face another formidable foe in the form of power-punching welterweight champion Roberto Soldic.

The Croatian knockout artist has a career record of 19-3, with 16 of those victories coming via knockout.

“Robocop” may be the smaller man in the cage on fight night, but his power has proved to be the ultimate equaliser in his previous fights, and he’ll be confident that it will be the case against Khalidov.

The co-main event also features a fascinating clash, with featherweight champion Daniel Torres set to face former champion Salahdine Parnasse in a title rematch.

Parnasse was stunned in the first round by Torres at KSW 58 as the Austria-based Brazilian handed the Frenchman the first, and so far only, defeat of his MMA career.

Parnasse has since bounced back with a victory over Filip Pejic to improve his record to 15-1-1 and earn a rematch with Torres, who enters the bout with a 12-4 record.

Fans in other territories can stream the event live via on KSWTV.com.
