Jake Paul’s promotional company, MVP Promotions, have rejected the scenario of facing Nate Diaz in a boxing rematch.
Paul recently announced that he plans to return to the ring for his next fight on December 15.
The opponent and venue have yet to be revealed. DAZN will carry the event.
Back in August, the social media star dropped and decisioned Diaz over ten rounds.
After the fight, Paul made it clear that he was willing to face Diaz, a well-respected MMA star, in the cage.
Earlier this year, Paul signed a promotional deal with MMA organization Professional Fighters League [PFL].
“For the record: Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again. Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received an offer from PFL to rematch in MMA in the SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer,” MVP Promotions explained in a statement on social media.
Paul is willing to provide Diaz with a payday of $10 million for a contest under MMA rules.
Back in February, Paul suffered the first defeat of his boxing career when he suffered an eight round split decision loss to unbeaten prospect Tommy Fury.
Paul was ringside earlier this month in Manchester, to watch Fury hand KSI an unanimous decision loss. Over the years, Paul and KSI have been heated social media rivals.
Based on their recent performances, the stage could be set for a rematch between Paul and Fury. After suffering his loss, Paul had the option to exercise an immediate rematch clause, He passed on facing Fury right away and instead accepted the opportunity to face Diaz. For the bout with Diaz, Paul was trained by former three division world champion Shane Mosley.
