Froch: Tommy Fury Should Have Way More Than Enough To Beat KSI

Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch does not view this weekend’s big crossover fight as a pro boxing matchup.

Light heavyweight prospect Tommy Fury, who is the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, will return to the ring on Saturday night against social media star KSI.

Earlier this year, Fury traveled to the Middle East and handed another social media star, Jake Paul, his first career defeat as a boxer. Fury walked away with an eight round split decision win.

While many have been critical of Paul’s opponents as a pro boxer, KSI’s level of opposition has been even weaker.

Based on all of the variables, Froch believes Fury will once again walk away with his hand raised.

“Tommy Fury and KSI should not be called boxing. For me this isn’t professional boxing. KSI isn’t a pro-fighter and this should be called a night of play fighting not professional boxing. But Tommy Fury better f—— win because even though this is play fighting, he’s representing pro boxing. He still should have way more than enough to beat KSI, like he did against Jake Paul. He’ll beat KSI as a professional fighter should,” Froch said to Best Gambling Sites.

“I like Tommy Fury and I think fair play to him. He’s making mega money, so he’s smashing it. When I was at his stage of his career I was probably fighting for an area title. I became English champion and then stepped up to British title level and they were harder fights than what he’s got with Jake Paul and KSI, and he’s making an absolute fortune. F——- well done to you, pal. Keep smashing it. But I won’t be watching it. I ain’t staying up and watching that dog sh!t. No chance.”
