Frank Martin Feels Ready For Tank, Stevenson, Haney – “Right Now”

Rising lightweight contender Frank Martin would love to get in the ring with WBA ‘regular’ champion Gervonta Davis.

Martin was in action back in December, when he dropped and decisioned Michel Rivera in a battle of unbeatens.

Last month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Davis returned to the ring and picked up a tremendous win with a seventh round knockout of unbeaten Ryan Garcia.

Martin was not shocked by Davis’ stoppage of Garcia. He expected their contest to end inside the distance.

“No, I wasn’t surprised. I knew somebody was going to get stopped in the fight. I just don’t know who it would have been. But I knew that somebody was going to get stopped. I did an interview prior and said it was going to be a stoppage,” Martin told Fighthype.com.

“I thought [Tank] was going to be the one stopping. But I honestly felt like it could have been either one of them. It was just who landed the big shot first.”

The lightweight limit of 135-pounds is loaded with talent.

Martin is ready and willing to face the biggest names in the weight class – including Tank, Shakur Stevenson and undisputed champion Devin Haney.

“I’m right there man. Whoever gives me the opportunity. I’m not ducking nobody. There’s no ‘lets get him ready’. I’m ready for them right now. If they want to give me the opportunity, I’m going to show them what I can do. I’m ready for them right now,” Martin said.

“There’s a lot of fighters right now that’s good a 135. You can’t really say [who’s the best] until the everybody gets in there with each other. Then you can who is the best.”
