Euro News: Nimani Murdered, Kadiru takes On Former Champ, Sadjo Defeats De Carolis

Besar Nimani, 38, a German of Albanian descent, was shot to death on an open street in Bielefeld on Saturday night (March 9), reports various media in Germany.

Nimani fought professionally from 2011 through 2019, compiling a 26-1 record, and he won German titles for both the BDB and GBA and was also IBF European champ at super welter.

The murder is, according to German authorities, linked to gangland crime.

………………………………………

German heavyweight Peter Kadiru (17-1) faces former WBO and IBF cruiser champ Victor Emilio Rodriguez (30-4-1) on March 16 on P2M:s show in Stralsund March. At stake is the vacant IBF Intercontinental title.

Kadiru has thus relinquished the German title which now will be contested between stablemate Viktor Jurk (9-0) and Dominic Vial (11-5).

………………………………………

EBU super middleweight king Kevin Lele Sadjo (22-0, 20 KOs) retained the title last night in Levallois Perret with an eighth-round stoppage of a very capable challenger in Italian veteran Giovanni De Carolis (33-11-1).

It’s time for Sadjo to go for the big boys and the big money fights but with his relentless aggression and good power he is a fighter many feel it’s best to avoid.

………………………………….

Correction; IBF middleweight champ Etinosa Oliha (19-0) will indeed fight Ismael Seck (12-7-2) April 6 in Falkensee (Germany) but it is in non-title 10-rounder and not a defence of the title as was reported.
