Danish junior middle Oliver Meng (10-0) meets Italian Khalil El Harraz (15-3-1) in the headliner of the Danish Fight Night promotion on May 26 at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen with the vacant WBA Continental title at stake.

Meng had previously won IBF and WBC Youth titles but this fight represents a step up in his career. 

Former IBF female featherweight champion Sarah Mahfoud is featured in the chief support.

Swedish lightweight Anthony Yigit (26-3-1) reports on social media that he may not look good after his fight against Keyshawn Davis from Saturday night in Newark, but that he feels good.

He is booked to fight May 27 in Malmoe, Sweden, over a short distance against an opponent to be announced but if he actually can fight again so soon after the beating he absorbed from Davis is an open question.

No word yet on the first defense of the title he won against Ilunga Makabu in what was possible his best performance ever.

It was a little too easy last night in Herstal for Belgian-Italian lightweight Francesco Patera (28-3) as he ended matters against Georgian journeyman Irakli Shariashvili (8-14-1) with a single right – and it was all over 20 seconds into the first round.

The punch landed flush on the chin but it still looked as if Shariashvili took the easy way out.

In the main event on Wednesday April 5, in Mexico City, heavy-handed Mexican Carlos Sanchez beats Panamanian Alexander Duran in a junior lightweight bout that was stopped in the seventh due to accidental head butt.

In the co-feature was a battle for Mexico City bragging rights and Abraham Arreola beat Brandon Reyes also by technical decision after Reyes was cut from accidental head butt led to the judges final scores.

In the opener, last minute addition Rogaciano Guerrero outworked Eduardo Martinez for the majority decision win.
