Saturday, November 6 sees a huge UFC event arrive at Madison Square Garden as New York plays host to UFC 268.
Topping the bill is a massive welterweight title rematch, with undisputed 170-pound champion Kamaru Usman and former interim champion Colby Covington set to face off in a repeat of their all-time great clash at UFC 245 in 2019. But that’s not the only major matchup on the card.
The co-main event features another world title rematch, as women’s strawweight champ Rose Namajunas faces the woman she spectacularly knocked out to recapture the belt, China’s Zhang Weili, for the 115-pound title.
There’s also a pivotal bout at the top of the UFC lightweight division as former Bellator champion Michael Chandler takes on hard-hitting former interim champion Justin Gaethje in a bout that could determine the identity of the first lightweight title challenger of 2022.
Ahead of the event, the UFC’s “Embedded” cameras are following the fighters behind the scenes as they work their way through fight week, from their final moments at home to their arrival in New York and their media obligations before the weigh-ins and the final faceoffs before fight night itself.
In Episode 5, we catch up with New Jersey legend Frankie Edgar as he gets set to compete in a virtual “home game” at Madison Square Garden.
Also on this episode, Namajunas works the pads ahead of her title clash, while Chandler starts to work up a sweat as he begins his weight cut.
Then the fighters head to the Hulu Theater for the pre-fight press conference, where sparks fly between title fighters Usman and Covington.
