Ukrainian combat sambo world champion Vladyslav Rudniev said he’s ready to impress as he gets set for his promotional debut at Brave CF 74 in Nantes, France.
In an event that is already historic, Brave Combat Federation has prepared another huge moment for the fans. On September 7, at Brave CF 74, the most global MMA organization will introduce Vladyslav Rudniev to the world.
While not yet a household name, the Ukrainian Lightweight has a pedigree very few can say they have coming into their MMA careers. At 6-0, Rudniev is most notably known as the best combat sambo fighter in Ukraine’s history and is eager to make a similar impact in MMA, starting on September 7, when he faces Anthony Dizy in the co-main event of Brave CF 74.
Vladyslav is a four-time consecutive combat sambo world champion, with titles coming in two different weight-classes (74kg and 79kg). Not just that, but he has twice as many titles as the next top combat sambo world champion from Ukraine. What is even more impressive about Rudniev is that he has always eyed an MMA career, with combat sambo being a means to an end – fight for Brave CF.
“My idea was always to excel in MMA and to fight specifically for Brave CF. I always knew I would be fighting for them and now is the time,” he said.
“I promise the fans not just a finish, but also fight of the night. It will be the most exciting fight in France, for sure.”
Someone who knows a thing or two about prospects is none other than Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid. He’s seen overseen the rise of a host of stars in his promotion and, in his mind, Rudniev is one of the best, as he revealed in a recent episode of Hawk’s Corner.
“You’re looking at amateur MMA fights for Vladyslav and there’s nothing behind him, but, (he’s a) Ukrainian combat sambo legend,” he said.
“We’re talking about a legend in a sport in Ukraine, being here.”
In the midst of the excitement, Mohammed’s co-host, Athlete Relations Manager Sam Brett, pointed out one of Vladyslav’s most impressive accomplishments.
“It’s not even a four-time champion, that’s impressive. He’s a four-time consecutive champion in two different weight classes. The next closest to him are two (time champions). This guy is a four-time champion.”
