Blachowicz and Teixeira do battle for light heavyweight title – Fighters Only

Two veteran fighters with thunder in both hands will go head to head for the undisputed UFC light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 267.

In a special pay-per-view caliber card, offered for free on subscription platforms across the globe, the event features two huge title fights, with light heavyweight king Jan Blachowicz looking to register the second defense of his title.

He’ll take on Glover Teixeira, who turned 42 during fight week, and is hoping to celebrate with a championship belt around his waist by the end of the night.

Also seeking championship glory are bantamweight contenders Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen, who will do battle for the interim 135-pound strap in the night’s co-main event.

Former champion Yan lost his belt in controversial fashion after an illegal knee ended the challenge of Aljamain Sterling, but gifted the American the belt. Now looking to bounce back in emphatic fashion, Yan will face dangerous contender Sandhagen, who is also looking to rebound after a split-decision loss to former champion T.J. Dillashaw, whose potential involvement in the bout was halted at source due to injuries sustained during his victory.

The card is also stacked with top-drawer matchups, including a fascinating lightweight clash between Russian phenom and Khabib Nurmagomedov protege Islam Makhachev, and Kiwi scrapper Dan Hooker, who is making a quick turnaround to replace Rafael dos Anjos against the surging Russian contender.
