Magdeburg, Germany – In the headliner of the SES and Blanko Sports show at the Maritim Hotel, IBO super middleweight champion Osleys Iglesias (9-0) retained the title by knocking out German challenger Artur Reis (11-1) in the fourth round.
IN OTHER RESULTS – Naestved, Denmark (courtesy of Rasmus Aage, knock-out.dk) – RNG-SDE Promotions: IBF International heavyweight champ Kem Ljungquist (16-0) knocked out South African veteran Johnny Muller (23-11-2) with a southpaw left hook to the body at 2.56 of the tenth round and thus retained the title. The much bigger Dane dominated the fight with his longer reach and worked well to the body.
Super middleweight prospect Emil Kot (3-0) got a close and controversial win over hard punching Italian Luca Di Loreto (5-2-1). Kot was floored in the sixth and seventh. However, Di Loreto had points deducted in the fourth and seventh for punching in the back of the head. At the Kot won a majority decision: 75-73 twice and 75-75.
Comebacking middleweight Abdul Khattab (19-3-1) outscored Dutchman Melvin Wassing (11-13-1) in a six-rounder that was scored 59-55 and 60-54 twice.
Ahmad El-Ahmad made his pro debut and outscored Georgian veteran Mikheil Gabinashvili (9-41-3) over four. It was scored 40-36 twice and 40-35.
Moroccan, based in Spain, Mohamed Zouaki (3-1) stopped Dane Michael Nielsen (7-4) in the third of a scheduled six-rounder made at featherweight.
In his fourth fight of the year, two at lightweight and two at welterweight, former EBU super lightweight champ Anthony Yigit (28-4-1) outscored David Rajuili (13-12-1) from South Africa but based in Germany, over six. It was scored 58-56, 60-53 and 59-55, Yigit was in full control all the way.
The other Swede on the show, Mohamed Abdulrahim (4-0) was on the floor in the first round but his opponent, Georgian Mamuika Abuladze (3-5) retired in the second with a claimed hand injury.
