Cage Fury Fighting Championships touches down in North Dakota for first time for CFFC 125 – Fighters Only

Cage Fury Fighting Championships will break new ground in North Dakota as the promotion makes its in-state debut for CFFC 125, with a nine-fight lineup already confirmed for the event on Friday, September 15.

CFFC 125 will feature a catchweight main event, as Dana White’s Contender Series veteran Roybert Echeverria takes on Hawaiian contender Pololu Nakanelua in the headline bout at 4 Bears Casino & Lodge, live on UFC Fight Pass.

The Venezuelan-born Echeverria opened his professional career with seven straight victories, including five first-round finishes, earning him an invite to Dana White’s Contender Series this past September.

After suffering a frustrating loss in a spirited matchup with Jafel Filho, “The Unbroken” now looks to return to the win column and continue his journey to the sport’s highest levels.

Meanwhile, Nakanelua enters the contest on the strength of back-to-back victories, traveling from his training base at Las Vegas’ Xtreme Couture to pick up wins in Idaho and Oregon.

“Poi Poundah” now looks for his third consecutive result at 130 pounds as he contemplates potential futures in both flyweight and bantamweight divisions.

The event, which will feature a special guest appearance from former UFC and Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, will feature CFFC’s regular commentary duo of All Elite Wrestling superstar CM Punk and Fighters Only World MMA Awards “Journalist of the Year” winner John Morgan, and will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.

“It’s tremendously exciting when we’re able to bring a live CFFC event to a new part of the country, and it’s an honor for us to partner with the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation to visit North Dakota for the first time,” said CFFC’s business development executive Miranda Granger.

“We look forward to fans in the area experiencing our unparalleled brand of fast-paced excitement and top-quality MMA action, as well as to discovering new talent in the market and assisting them in achieving their goals of reaching the sport’s highest stage.”
