Heavyweight contender Hughie Fury, 28-years-old, is ready and willing to face the top names in the weight class.
Fury (26-3, 15 KOs), the cousin of WBC world champion Tyson Fury, has been out of the ring since October 2021, when he stopped Christian Hammer in five rounds.
Back in 2017, Fury made his first attempt at a world title when he lost a twelve round majority decision to Joseph Parker.
Fury picked up three wins since his last career defeat, which was a decision loss to Alexander Povetkin in 2019.
The younger Fury is now gunning for fights against former world champion Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.
“These are the fights that I want. I believe I will get them fights and that I will be the best,” Fury told BBTV Boxing.
“I’d knock [Wilder] out. I’m not here to play games anymore. People don’t understand. I’ve had a bit of rest, I’ve filled out, I’m now 19/20 stone. People don’t understand. I’m here now and I’m going to make a statement. I believe I am the best and I’m going to show that in the ring.
“[Against Joshua it would be a] knockout. Big stiff. Honestly, I don’t believe that these people are capable of beating me. I truly believe that if these fights happen, I’ve had my experience, I’ve had my falls now and I’m going to show it.”
Joshua is looking for a potential return in July of August, with Dillian Whyte still being mentioned as a potential frontrunner to face him in a rematch.
Wilder’s next fight us unknown. He’s in line to fight former unified champion Andy Ruiz in a final WBC eliminator, but there is also talk of potentially facing Joshua at the end of the year in the Middle East.
