Tommy Fury: Jake Paul, KSI Have To Fight Me To Prove They Are Legitimate Boxers

Light heavyweight prospect Tommy Fury (8-0, 4 KOs) believes firmly that he’s the biggest option for Youtube star turned boxer Jake Paul (6-0. 4 KOs).

Fury is ready to face Paul or his Youtuber rival, KSI.

The younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is scheduled to return on November 13 in Abu Dhabi, against Paul Bamba.

Their bout is the co-featured attraction to Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition clash with Youtuber Deji.

“I don’t need to call out Jake Paul for this fight,” Fury said to The MMA Hour. “I think you put a poll out there, who wants to see me and Jake Paul, it’s 100 percent yes. Everyone wants to see this fight because if Jake Paul and KSI didn’t have to fight me, they wouldn’t. They have to fight me to prove that they are a legitimate boxer. They have to. There is nobody else with my following and my exposure with eight fights in. There’s nobody.

“So if they want to be regarded as a boxer, they have to go through me. This fight between me and Jake does not need selling and I’m definitely going to take care of business next year, whether that’s in America or the U.K.”

Fury was scheduled to face Paul on two occasions. The first time around, in 2021, Fury withdrew from the fight with a training injury. He was replaced by Tyron Woodley, who was knocked out.

The bout was rescheduled to this past August, and Fury was once again forced to withdraw after being denied entry into the United States.

Paul has a few options that he’s entertaining – including a showdown with MMA superstar Nick Diaz, who was ringside for Paul’s recent decision win over another MMA star, Anderson Silva.
