Oscar Rivas won the Inaugural WBC Bridgerweight title with a UD over Ryan Rozicki. Before his first defense scheduled against Rozanski, in Colombia, Oscar was going to fight Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajagha. But, Oscar suffered an eye injury in his final sparring session. He`d previously undergone surgery in 2011 for a detached retina in his right eye. At thirty five years old and after a thirteen years pro career, he´s taking a pause.
Babic, aged thirty two who eked out a living as a nightclub bouncer for a decade before finding his vocation and hitting the big time in boxing, is five years younger than Lukasz.
However, Lukasz who`s always fought in his homeland of Poland as a pro, now has the opportunity of a lifetime, because he`s fighting this championship bout in his hometown of Rzeszow, where he was born. Lukasz has built an undefeated record of 14-0, 13 KO`s, since turning pro in 2015. In his most recent fight he KO`d former heavyweight contender Artur Szpilka in the first round. Earlier in his career he stopped former British and EBU heavyweight Champion Michael Sprott in two.
Alen who`s nicknamed The Savage is also unbeaten with a record of 11-0, 10 KO`s. His pro debut was in 2019. His KO record was punctuated in his most recent fight against Adam Balski, in which he won a UD and with it, the vacant WBC Silver Bridgerweight title. Alen was down in the first, but Adam was deducted a point for hitting after the bell ending the eleventh.
