The sport of Muay Thai takes center stage in the main event of ONE Fight Night 9 as one of the most dominant champion in the promotion returns to put his title on the line.
Nong-O Hama is all set to put his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title on the line against England’s former flyweight Muay Thai champion Jonathan Haggerty on Friday, April 21 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Nong-O is an eight-time champ in ONE, and will look to continue his dominant reign against the dynamic Brit Haggerty, who has moved up a weight class in search of a second ONE belt.
The co-main event features a pair of undefeated lightweight prospects who will look to make an impact in a prime promotional spot. Turkey’s Halil Amir and Switzerland’s Maurice Abevi both have 100 percent finish rates to go with their unblemished professional records, but someone’s 0 has to go at Lumpinee Stadium this weekend.
The Philippines’ best hope for a female champion, Denice Zamboanga, returns to action against Brazil’s Julie Mezabarba as she looks to position herself for a possible title shot at strawweight, while strawweight contenders collide as South Africa’s Bokang Masunyane takes on Japan’s Hiroba Minowa.
