In the last few years, former world champion Daniel Santos has had several incidents with the law.
According to Primera Hora, you can add another to the list. Santos was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly causing damage to vehicles at the Euro Wheels Auto Corporation dealership located in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico.
In 2019, Santos was charged with violence and intimidation against law enforcement officers. In September 2018, Santos had a wooden stick in his hands when officers went to his home on an arrest warrant for another case that was pending.
Santos eventually submitted a guilty plea to less serious charges that carried a fine and six months of probation.
In addition, in 2018 Santos was accused of having assaulted a former partner during an incident that occurred in Bayamón.
Santos, who was a world champion at 147 and 154 pounds during boxing career, has been residing in Carolina with his partner.
In the recent incident, Santos was arrested when the aforementioned dealer showed up to the business because the security alarms were activated. The manager arrived and surprised Santos as he broke the windows of the premises with a piece of wood.
The bronze medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics had an argument with several individuals and claimed he would take a vehicle, according to a video posted by Telemundo.
While officers were investigating the complaint, Santos allegedly returned with the same intentions and was arrested. It was necessary to use a taser to stop him. He was transported to the Puerto Nuevo Diagnostic and Treatment Center (CDT) for the removal of the taser darts. The amount of damage to property and vehicles has not been estimated.
