Unbeaten prospect Carlos Rosario (5-0) will make his 5th start of the year on Friday night when he faces Las Vegas’ Ezequiel Borrero (5-0) in a super featherweight bout. The battle of unbeaten fighter’s will kick off ProBox TV’s Last Chance tournament.
Kendo Castañeda will face Antonio Moran and Miguel Madueno takes on Juan Huertas in the tournament finals.
This will be a big step up for both Rosario and Borrero.
If all goes according to plan, Rosario, who was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, will look to continue to build in 2023 so that he can make a move towards contender status in 2024.
“This is a big fight for Carlos,” his manager Rudy Vargas told BoxingScene.com.
“Once we get this win, we can look to keep up the momentum next year and then make some noise in 2024. Rosario is a very talented fighter and I am glad he is getting the opportunity to showcase his talents on ProBox TV.”
Rosario was last in action in August when he stopped Angel Velazquez in the first round of their bout that was scheduled for 6 rounds.
Borrero, who is a southpaw, has been out of the ring since February when he defeated Carlos Chacon Reyes via unanimous decision in Tijuana.
