Armando Resendiz landed 280 punches- the most by a Jarrett Hurd opponent (Julian Williams landed 273). Hurd tried working behind his jab early on, landing a total of 27 jabs in rounds three and four.
Resendiz took away Hurd’s jab, only allowing Hurd to land 24 jabs in rounds five through nine. By the end of round five Resendiz had landed 100 power punches to Hurd’s 97. In rounds six through nine Resendiz landed 106 power punches while limiting Hurd to 69 landed power punches.
Ontario, California – In a middleweight bout, Armando Resendiz fought fire with fire, to break down and stop former unified junior middleweight champion Jarrett Hurd, when the doctor stopped the contest at the start of the tenth round.
